Before sending, please make sure your parcel’s dimensions and weight stay within the following limits:

Prices apply to parcels sent within Finland and to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
Prices do not apply to areas outside the EU customs and tax territory, or to certain remote areas and islands.
When dropping off your parcel at a Matkahuolto service point, the listed prices apply. Pickup from your address: + 20€ per shipment.
I want my parcel to arrive in time for Christmas. What should I do?
Parcels that you want to arrive in time for Christmas should be sent so that they leave the country no later than:
- Denmark, Germany, southern Sweden: Friday 19.12.2025
- Sweden and Estonia: Thursday 18.12.2025
- Central Europe and the rest of the Baltic countries: Wednesday 17.12.2025
- Rest of Europe: Friday 12.12.2025
Depending on what time and where in Finland you take your parcel to a Matkahuolto pickup point, it is a good idea to allow a few days for the parcel to arrive at our terminal in Turku. You can check the drop-off times for Matkahuolto service points here: Service points - Matkahuolto . If you drop off your parcel before the specified time, it will start its journey to Turku on the same day.
The end of the year is the busiest time for parcels, which means that there may be local delays compared to normal delivery times. Capacity will be increased towards the end of the year, but delays may still occur.
During Christmas and New Year, GLS's services in Finland will generally be available as normal, except on public holidays, when our customer service will be closed and no pick-ups or deliveries will be made. GLS's operations in Finland will be closed during Christmas from Wednesday to Friday 24.-26.12.2025 and on New Year's Day, Thursday 1.1.2026.

When sending parcels via www.glspaketti.fi, you must accept the delivery terms. For example, dangerous goods cannot be sent via our online store. Please also note that the sender is responsible for ensuring that the package is properly and adequately packed and protected. How long does delivery take?
When shipping from Finland, our delivery time is usually 1-3 business days to neighboring countries such as Sweden or the Baltic countries. Delivery to more distant European countries usually takes 3-5 business days, and to more remote areas within eight business days.

How the transport process works in practice
The shipping process works as follows: you take your parcel to a drop-off point, or it can be collected directly from you. The parcel is transported to GLS’s Turku terminal, from where it continues via linehaul transport towards the destination country. The routing of the linehaul varies depending on the destination.
Along the way, your parcel is handled and sorted at different hubs, with the number of handling points depending on where the parcel is headed. The parcel is transported to a local terminal and then transferred to a delivery vehicle, which delivers it either to the agreed pickup point, parcel locker, or directly to the recipient’s address depending on the selected delivery option.
In many countries, the GLS App is available, allowing the recipient to track the parcel and even make last-minute delivery changes.
